Upstate 'Get Out the Vote' Event Lands Local Blues Artist
Native South Carolinian and acclaimed southern blues artist Adia Victoria will return to her hometown of Spartanburg SC to perform at the Spartanburg Initiative for Racial Equity Now (SIREN) Get Out the Vote (GOTV) concert on October 19.
The event will take place at Harvest Park located in Spartanburg, SC.
Adia Victoria “infuses her music with Southern stories and conflicts, evident in her acclaimed albums like "A Southern Gothic." Her work, praised by Rolling Stone, NPR, and others, has earned her top spots on the Billboard Blues Chart and nominations from the Americana Music Association Awards; in 2024, she continues to write, record, and perform live,” according to her online biography.
The singer was nominated for two 2022 Americana Music Association Awards; Emerging Act of the Year and Album of the Year, had a Top 10 Debut Album on the Billboard Blues Chart, and is a Holly Prize Award Winner from the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

This will be the inaugural GOTV concert/rally for SIREN. The group was founded in June of 2020 and supports grassroots efforts at the city, county, and state levels to influence policy and to ensure that every citizen’s voice is heard.
