The DNC has had a lot of powerful speakers last week. We saw what the future looks like for the Democratic Party and it looks as young, fierce, and diverse as ever.

Two familiar faces showed up. The confidence, the looks, the swag, the Obamas. First, we heard from Former First Lady Michelle Obama, and what a speech it was.

Gone are the days of “When they go low, we go high.” We are now in the days of Donald Trump attempting to obtain a “Black Job.” I mean could Michelle Obama have been any more perfect, any more right on time, any more of what we all needed right at that moment? The audacity of hope, the YES SHE CAN chant, the “Do Something” chants. I felt like I was back in College in 2008 where I was just so excited to be a part of the voting process and to see a family that looked like mine and my friends. Then we saw President Barack Obama.
