Can Harris Prove to be Trump’s Achilles Heel?
As Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris and her running mate Tim Walz continue to perform well in the polls and see record size crowds at their rallies across swing states, Donald Trump’s campaign seems to be unable to respond to Democratic victories.
Trump has raged in private at this, calling Harris a “bitch” and saying earlier this month at the National Association of Black Journalists conference that Harris was actually black but that “she had turned Black.”
Trump and his campaign have also come under recent fire for using a jet owned by notorious criminal Jefferey Epstein who Trump has long been associated with.
During his most recent press conference, Trump rambled on about several different topics including making up a story about surviving a near helicopter crash with Willie Brown and California governor Gavin Newsom. He also focused on comparing crowd sizes at his rally to ones seen by Harris and Walz.

Trump said that “no one has bigger crowds than me” and claimed that more people attended his January 6 rally than those who attended Martin Luther King’s famous ‘I Have a Dream’ speech in 1963.
“If you look at Martin Luther King, when he did his speech, his great speech, and you look at ours — same real estate, same everything, same number of people, if not — we had more,” he said at the podium.
Trump also claimed that although the crowd was large at the rally on Jan. 6, the number who stormed the capital were peaceful and small. He also classified the Jan. 6 insurrection as “a peaceful transfer of power”
During his press conference, he tried to avoid the issue of abortion, the most dangerous issue for Republicans heading into the election season. He refused to provide a clear statement about his position on abortion and when asked about restricting access to abortion pills, such as mifepristone, he was unable to provide a clear answer.
“So, you can do things that will be, would supplement, absolutely. And those things are pretty open and humane. But you have to be able to have a vote. And all I want to do is give everybody a vote. And the votes are taking place right now as we speak,” Trump said during the conference.
At his rally in Montana on Friday, Trump claimed that videos of the crowd from Harris and Walz’ rally in Detroit on Friday were AI edited. This claim was later proven to be false as multiple attendees posted their own videos.
Trump seems unable to fight back against the rising levels of victory seen by the Harris-Walz campaign. He instead laments over not having to face Joe Biden, speaks more erratically than normal and tends to be very aggressive which turns off the average voter.
Harris and Walz have hope and joy on their side. All Trump has is fear and rage. He is unable to meet this moment and run a winning campaign as a felon trying to beat a prosecutor.
