From Coach Walz to America's Dad, Governor Tim Walz is now the vice presidential pick for the Democratic ticket. This pick was just another display of the savyness of the Harris campaign. Coming to the campaign with 18 years of service as an elected official, Governor Walz has proven himself to be an effective leader.
The Governor was first elected to office in 2006 as a member of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party. Walz went to Congress and hit the ground running, cosponsoring a bill to raise the minimum wage during his first week. Walz served in Congress through 2018 before running for Governor. He received a 100% rating on abortion from NARAL Pro-Choice America in 2017 and Planned Parenthood Action Fund in 2018.
