Former Senate Hardliner Lee Bright Attempts to Reclaim Old Seat

Guess who’s back, back again… Lee Bright, who represented District 12 in the state, is trying to regain the seat he held for two terms before being ousted by Sen. Scott Talley, R-Spartanburg, in 2016. Talley is retiring after eight years in the Senate. He also served eight years in the House.
