A few days ago we (myself included, a state legislator who sits on the education committee for the state of South Carolina) learned of a unilateral decision made by State Superintendent Ellen Weaver to partner with the controversial nonprofit “education” (I use that term lightly) organization for supplemental resources for our state’s K-12 teachers. I have been working on a Freedom Of Information Act request to determine how much of our tax dollars have gone or are going to this sham agreement.
This partnership has been met with criticism not only from myself but from people far and wide. The claim that this is for our teachers to have additional tools and resources is ludicrous, but this is what the CEO of PragerU had to say:
